The Knights of Columbus is a global Catholic fraternal organization dedicated to charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. Founded in 1882, it provides members with opportunities to support their parishes and communities through volunteer service and fundraising. The Knights are committed to upholding Catholic values and strengthening families, with a strong emphasis on protecting life, defending religious freedom, and serving those in need. The 1982-1983 officer roster for Council 8136 included John J. Dugan as Grand Knight, Rev. Harold F. Quigg as Chaplain, Rev. Harold J Frost as Vice Chaplain, Charles T. Barnes as Deputy Grand Knight, Theodore R. Colgan as Financial Secretary, Edward M. Fitzgerald as Chancellor, Earl J. Fessler as Recorder, Paul M. Oscar as Treasurer, E.
